Today, our Honeymoon webcam captured something you don’t get to see every day.

Right before our eyes, crews created a fire guard and “safe zone” in front of the Honeymoon web cam. Watching it unfold live really puts into perspective the incredible work happening on the ground to help protect this area.

A huge thank you to Nadina Logging for their hard work and professionalism in building the fire guard. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by the Merritt Snowmobile Club and everyone who enjoys this incredible riding area.

We’re hoping to have more information from the crews tomorrow and will share updates as they become available.

Thank you to everyone working tirelessly on the front lines. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

    That’s awesome 👍🏽

I saw that this morning and thought - What the....??? 😄

How close is too close for comfort? 🔥

This photo really put it into perspective.

The Honeymoon Cabin remains in the safe zone, but you can clearly see just how close the wildfire came. The burned area reached right up to the front of the cabin, a powerful reminder of how quickly conditions can change and how fortunate we are.

We’re incredibly grateful to the wildfire crews, aviation teams, and everyone involved in protecting this area. Their hard work and dedication have made all the difference.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they become available. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages of support for our trails, cabins, and riding areas.
